Consulting Production Remote / In Person Session Work Mixing
With so many advances in technology, and changes is the music industry, many artists have expanded their skill set to include recording and production. While this has been mostly a positive evolution, sadly, one of the driving forces has been lagging revenue from sales of recorded music. It is simply not practical anymore for most artists to hire producers and studios.
I have had the good fortune to work with some of the finest Songwriters, Producers, and Musicians over the course of my career. I’ve learned from all of them. Many of them are mentors to this day. I’d like to continue this process by helping artists make great, affordable recordings at home.
I’m not talking about knob turning. Y’all can learn that stuff on YouTube. I have no formula for making hit records. My skill set is more along the lines of making good decisions and focusing on process. How to improve spontaneity and creativity. When to bite the bullet and pull out the checkbook.
I certainly can be helpful in filling in the gaps on any technical skills as well. A simple answer to a question, assurance your instincts are spot on, or a fresh set of ears with another perspective can be just what is needed to keep the project exciting and moving forward.
I am also ready, willing, and able to take on any tasks you don’t have the interest or the patience to deal with. If now is not the time you care to learn complex editing, fixing bad notes or a rushed bass note, I can get it done fast and transparently. I am here to help you with your project or teach you how to get started.
In addition to producing, mixing, and session work, I am now adding consulting to my list of services for hire. In most cases, consulting sessions are billed by the hour. The same is true for any alacart production tasks i.e., editing, tuning, etc.
Have fun making music and please remember to always Rock On!
